We are proud to announce that Carryway will be supplying the 2019 AIG Women’s British Open at Woburn Golf Club in Bedfordshire.
The Women’s British Open will be held from the 1st to 4th August and will be played on the beautiful yet challenging Marquess’ course.
First established by the Ladies Golf Union in 1976 and intended to serve as the ladies’ equivalent of The Open Championship, this year will be the 43rd staging of this prestigious event.
Twenty-nine different nations will be represented, and the world’s leading women golfers will be competing for the final major championship of the season which is expected to be one of the biggest golf events on the sporting calendar.
Reigning champion, Georgia Hall, will be hoping to retain her crown after winning the first major title of her career last year, but will no doubt face fierce competition from the field.
Situated among 200 acres of woodland and forming part of the Woburn Estate, home to the Duke of Bedford, this will be Woburn Golf Club’s 11th time hosting the event.
Planning is already underway, with our team working hard with the event organisers, IMG, to finalise logistical and operational details.
Carryway will be supplying the event with a fleet of vehicles offering transport solutions for support teams as well as the players and caddies. Our vehicles will ensure Medical Support staff, Security teams, Course Marshals and Media Crews have the transport solutions they need on site.
