Keeping a large scale event such as the Great Yorkshire Show running smoothly is certainly not an easy task, especially when the site spans over 250 acres. Tradesmen, and maintenance workers are required all over the site every day just to keep the wheels turning and the facilities of show working as they should. For the last few years the show ground based in the North Yorkshire town of Harrogate has chosen to hire a number Club Car utility vehicles from Carryway to be used to quickly transport staff and equipment around this vast site.
This year we have supplied a total of seven utility vehicles for use at the show, which included a mix of electric Carryall 550 vehicles and 4×4 Carryall 1500’s. The Carryall vehicles were perfect for use at the show, allowing electricians and other tradesmen to easily navigate the crowds using the vehicles compact size. The high ground clearance and off road tyres also meant the utility vehicles didn’t have to worry about sticking to the roads, and cut across the show grounds more rugged terrain with ease.
We also were able to help out by supplying some of the larger equipment required by the show through our plant hire business. The show made use of a couple of Bobcat S550 loaders, which were used for mucking the numerous animal pens on the site.
At Carryway we have a large fleet of event hire vehicles ready to be rented for long and short term events. We offer Villager vehicles ideal for transporting staff and guests, or Carryall vehicles perfect for carrying supply’s and equipment and personnel. All of these vehicles benefit from being cheap to run, contently compact, and capable in the workplace. For more info or for a quote for an event you have planned please contact us now.
