Electric Buggy Hire

Carryway has recently supported the internationally renowned Yorkshire Sculpture Park (YSP) by providing two Club Car electric vehicles, free of charge, to support their operations over the next few months.

YSP is the best place in the UK to experience modern and contemporary sculpture, presenting work by some of the world’s most extraordinary artists – including Ai Weiwei, Barbara Hepworth, Andy Goldsworthy and Henry Moore – in over 500 acres of beautiful, historic landscape and six indoor galleries.

Alongside art, nature and the environment are also key areas of focus for YSP, as demonstrated by their approach to “The Weston”, a new visitor centre due to open on 30 March 2019. As with all previous YSP developments, the new building fits sympathetically with the landscape and has been designed to have minimum impact on the site. The new venue features a wild-flower roof and a pioneering low energy environmental control system which will maintain the conditions inside the gallery.

Carryway has donated both a Club Car Carryall 550 electric utility vehicle and a Club Car Precedent 6-seat electric shuttle buggy for use by the YSP team over the next few months. The two Club Car vehicles donated by Carryway will allow YSP to trial the use of zero-emissions support vehicles around the park.

Electric Utility Buggy For Parks

The Carryall 550 will be utilised by teams as a zero-emissions alternative to the existing diesel support utility vehicles, minimising both air and noise pollution around YSP and helping maintain the serenity of the park.

The Precedent 6 seat shuttle buggy will act as a helpful zero-emissions people mover. Being able to transport staff and visitors between remote facilities, including The Weston, will be a great help for YSP’s gallery team. The low noise levels also allow the shuttle buggy to be utilised as a tour cart, with operators able to speak at normal levels, which often is not possible when contesting with a commercial diesel engine.
