Carryway are proud to have supported the Scottish Veteran Ladies Golf Association (SVLGA) at last month’s Solheim Cup, by providing its members with 10 tickets to the competition.
The SVLGA was set up in 1950 by Miss Charlotte Lyon and is a women’s golf association in Scotland. The association is split into 8 geographical divisions, in which women golfers over the age of 50 compete throughout the year.
Being the Official Golf Buggy Supplier to The Solheim Cup 2019, we wanted to take this opportunity to support local women golfers to ensure they could attend this year’s competition.
With the most anticipated event in women’s golf taking place at Gleneagles, Scotland, we recognised how important it was to give something back to the people who help keep women’s golf in Scotland going.
Whilst at Gleneagles, our team had the pleasure of meeting with members of the SVLGA, including Maureen McKerrow (President), Nancy Duncan (Vice President), Alison Whyte (Secretary) and Ellie Whyte (Captain).
Maureen McKerrow – President of the SVLGA said: “SVLGA were delighted to personally thank the Carryway Team at Gleneagles for the Solheim Cup Tickets. It was a spectacular match with a wonderful result for Catriona and the European Team. SVLGA are looking forward to working in partnership with Carryway to promote Ladies Golf in the future.”
