As Official Golf Car Suppliers to the 2019 Solheim Cup, Carryway are excited to reveal the official Captains’ Cars for Team Europe and Team USA.
The Club Car Tempo 4 Seat electric golf buggies feature an all new custom-made design which has been produced in traditional Solheim Cup colours.
As the first two 2019 Solheim Cup vehicles to be completed these Tempo buggies will eventually be allocated to the European and USA team captains, Catriona Matthew and Juli Inkster, for use during the tournament.
During the build up to the event the Captains’ Cars will be taken on a UK tour to raise awareness for the tournament and will be on display at the host venue, The Gleneagles Hotel, as well as other golf tournaments including the ASI Scottish Open, the AIG Women’s British Open and the ASI Ladies Scottish Open.
An additional 12 electric team cars will also be joining the Captains’ Cars at Gleneagles in September to be used by the players and caddies during the tournament.
2019 will be the first Solheim Cup to use the all new Club Car Tempo golf buggy which was released to market last year. Featuring new automotive inspired styling and tried and tested engineering, the Club Car Tempo is the tournament golf car of choice, having been used already at the 2018 Ryder Cup as well as being voted Golf Digest’s Editor’s Choice electric golf cart.
Ross Hallett, Senior Vice President, Golf, IMG Events, said: “We are thrilled to have Carryway on board as an Official Supplier for The 2019 Solheim Cup. They are the best in the business and have a huge depth of experience in providing golf vehicles at large-scale events.
“The Captains’ Cars look fantastic and we can’t wait to see them in action with the captains and teams at Gleneagles in a few months’ time.”
